Terms of Use

for the “qapto” app · As of September 29, 2026 · Convenience translation – the German version is the legally binding one.

1. Provider and scope

The provider is WarenWerk GmbH, Otto-Lilienthal-Str. 2a, 55232 Alzey, Germany (further details in the Imprint). These terms apply to the use of the “qapto” app including all paid features.

2. Minimum age

Use requires a minimum age of 16 years. Taking out paid subscriptions requires full legal capacity or the consent of a legal representative.

3. Description of services

qapto is a personal assistant that converts spoken and written input into entries, evaluates receipts and answers questions. Third-party language models are used for this. No specific result is owed: answers and suggestions may be incomplete or incorrect. You can always check and change a suggestion before saving it.

4. Subscription and free period

qapto is offered exclusively as a subscription; use without a subscription is not provided for. When you first subscribe, the first billing period is free for the length stated in the app. After that, the subscription renews automatically at the stated price unless it is cancelled via the settings of your Apple account at least 24 hours before the end of the respective period. During the free period, an allowance of five requests per day applies. Basis and Pro are offered, each weekly, monthly or yearly. Prices and scope of features are shown to you in the app before purchase. Saved data remains readable and exportable even without an active subscription.

5. Monthly cloud budget and credit

The paid cloud features — breaking down dictations, questions, research and place searches with ratings — cause us costs per action. So that your subscription remains reliably predictable, each subscription is assigned a monthly cloud budget, the amount of which is shown to you in the app. The current level can be viewed at any time in the account section.

Credit is a usage allowance for features of this app. It is not stored monetary value, not transferable, not payable out and not exchangeable for money. After a subscription ends, saved data remains readable on your device.

6. Conclusion of contract

Subscriptions and credit purchases are concluded and billed exclusively via the Apple App Store; Apple's terms apply in addition. Management and cancellation take place in the settings of your Apple account; we have no access to them. The app links directly to the cancellation path (“Manage or cancel subscription”).

7. Renewal

Subscriptions renew automatically for the booked term unless they are cancelled via your Apple account at least 24 hours before expiry.

8. Right of withdrawal

Consumers have a statutory right of withdrawal. As the contract is concluded via the Apple App Store, Apple handles withdrawal and refunds under its terms.

9. Your obligations

No unlawful use, no infringement of third-party rights, no entry of content that you are not entitled to pass on to the service providers used.

10. Data backup

Your data is stored on your device. You are responsible for backing it up yourself (for example via your iPhone backup or the export in the app). If the device is lost or defective, or if the app is uninstalled, data may be irretrievably lost.

11. Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence and for injury to life, body or health. In cases of slight negligence we are liable only for breach of a material contractual obligation — an obligation whose fulfilment is essential to the proper performance of the contract and on whose observance you may regularly rely — and limited in amount to the foreseeable damage typical for the contract. Liability under the German Product Liability Act remains unaffected.

12. Changes

We may change these terms where this is necessary for legal or technical reasons, and will inform you in good time in the app.

13. Final provisions

German law applies. If the user is a consumer resident in the EU, the mandatory consumer protection provisions of their country of residence remain unaffected.
